Deportivo vs Valencia CF Match Thread

Postby SlickR » Sat Oct 29, 2016 5:38 am

Deportivo La Coruna hosts Valencia CF on Monday at their ground, with both clubs in desperate need of a win, though in my biased opinion more so for VCF, as we need to get some point under our belt to start reaching that mid table.

Prandeli has tested pretty much the same squad from the match with Barcelona, with the exception of Gaya who's injured. Santi Mina is also suspect and possibly Munir will start over him, we'll see.

What do you guys think, what is your prediction and line-up?

Alves; Cancelo, Garay, Santos, Montoya(Lato has returned to B team); Medran, Enzo; Nani, Parejo, Bakkali; Moreno

This would be my team. A bit more offensive with Medran in, but against Deportivo we desperately need a win and can't be all too defensive. Bakkali has shown that he deserves to get a full match start and I'll give him the opportunity if I was coach.

I'm wishing for a 2-0 win for VCF, but if I had to predict the score probably 1-1

Alves
Cancelo, Garay, Mangala, Montoya
Enzo, Medran
Nani, Parejo, Rodrigo
Munir (Bakalli comes in 2nd half and Rodrigo plays 9 or Munir remains as 9 while Bakali replaces Rodrigo) depends on who's having a bad game
1-3 VCF win

A quarter of the game so far and pretty disapointed. This is typical VCF, build our hopes up with a good performance against Barca, then struggle against Depor, who, so far, have looked more likely to score. Abdennour as left back worked against Barca as an emergency but a lot of attacks are coming down that side. Parejo has been good. The main problem is possession, we keep losing it and need to be more patient when we have it.

Really open match.

Rodrigo should have scored. He looks dangerous with his sprints.
We are giving away too many counter attacks.

Enzo looks motivated today.

I guess I shouldn't expect any better. Valencia has only had 2-3 decent chances and Deportivo has had so many more chances to score. If things continue this way in the second half, I can easily see Valencia losing 2 or 3-0...

Really disappointing first half! Abdenoor makes it seem like we are playing with 10men! We need to do better!

Seems like my prediction here became true, 1-1 draw and truth be told Deportivo deserved to win.

Yep, your hunch was right. Something like 62% possession for us, but just useless in front of goal. Gonna do the write-up now but sometimes I feel like we should just prepare a template for these match reports as it's the same old same old all the time.

SlickR, how and where do I write the match report? I don't see where I can write them now?
